epa-warehouse-models

This is not a functional package. It is a namespace placeholder.

A private package called epa-warehouse-models is published to a private package index. This placeholder reserves the same name on public PyPI so that it cannot be registered by a third party and substituted into a build that resolves against both indexes -- a dependency confusion attack.

It is permanently version 0.0.2, contains no code, and raises a RuntimeError if imported. The private package is always versioned higher, so a correctly configured install never selects this one.

If you installed this by accident, your index configuration is resolving against public PyPI rather than the private index it should be using.

Claiming this name

This name is held as a defensive reservation. It is not abandoned, and it is not held for resale or transfer for value.

If you have a genuine use for it, that is a reasonable request and we would rather hear from you directly than have you go through a formal process:

PEP 541 is the Python Packaging Authority policy covering package index name retention and transfer, including names that are reserved rather than actively developed. We will respond to requests made under it.

A note on package security

PyPI is a repository for distributing packages, not a service for auditing them. While third-party security researchers and our staff do their best to detect and remove malicious packages, PyPI cannot guarantee the quality, security or suitability of any given package.
