Terminal Players

• Classic curses player: python play.py
• Ephemeral mouse-first player: python ephemeral.py

Ephemeral MP3 Player

Install the mouse-first player with pip:

pip install ephemeral-mp3-player

Then point it at any folder containing MP3 files:

ephemeral /path/to/music

ephemeral --folder /path/to/music is equivalent. The player keeps its listening metadata and analysis cache inside that music folder. MP3 decoding and loudness analysis require FFmpeg to be installed and available on your PATH.

For local development, install this checkout in editable mode with pip install -e ..
