Command-line tool for etymonline.com, the Online Etymology Dictionary with rich output.

How to Install:

pip install etym-cli

How to Use:

etym <word>

Example Use:

etym lawyer

output

Arguments

-p, --plain plain text output
$ etym -p lawyer
lawyer (n.)

-t, --trend returns trending words
$ etym -t
Trending Words:
