Getting Started
Please check out the EzSnmp documentation. This includes installation instructions for various operating systems, including self-contained Windows wheels that bundle Net-SNMP for pip install ezsnmp and source-build instructions when you want to link against an existing Net-SNMP installation.
Code Coverage
EzSnmp uses CodeCov for tracking code coverage across both Python and C++ components.
Coverage reports are automatically generated and uploaded for:
Python tests: Coverage from pytest runs (both Docker and native environments)
C++ tests: Coverage from Google Test runs using lcov (both Docker and native environments)
Coverage data is collected from multiple test workflows:
Docker-based Python tests across multiple distributions
Native Python tests on Ubuntu and macOS
Docker-based C++ tests
Native C++ tests on Ubuntu and macOS
You can view the latest coverage reports and trends at the CodeCov dashboard.
Operational Reports
EzSnmp also keeps a small set of maintenance reports and supporting scripts for CI diagnostics:
Valgrind PR history report: .github/workflows/valgrind_pr_history_report.yml runs .github/scripts/analyze_valgrind_pr_history.py to scan historical Homebrew Valgrind bot comments, then publishes markdown and JSON report artifacts.
Docker test summary report: docker/generate_test_reports.sh summarizes existing docker/test_outputs_* results. Its usage details and prerequisites are documented in docker/README.rst.
Monthly report tooling maintenance: .github/workflows/monthly_report_tooling_maintenance.md is the scheduled agentic workflow that reviews these report paths on the first day of each month and proposes fixes when their scripts or docs drift out of sync.
