factframe-mcp

A local MCP server that converts folders of PDF, docx and xlsx files into markdown your assistant can read, search and cite -- with a link from every citation back to the exact place in the original. Everything runs on your machine; no document leaves it.

uvx factframe-mcp install --root ~/Documents/contracts

This is the launcher for FactFrame; see that page for the tools, options and supported clients.

Scanned PDFs without a text layer are not read (no OCR). The PDF reader is PyMuPDF, which is licensed under AGPL-3.0.

Free to use on your own computer. For a team -- connecting Google Drive or SharePoint, or a secured deployment -- write to dany@factframe.tech.
