fastercode-runner

Self-hosted runner agent for the fastercode.ai SaaS platform. It lets scheduled and webhook-triggered optimisation jobs run on your own machine instead of fastercode.ai's cloud runner - useful if a repository's build/test environment needs to stay on infrastructure you control.

Requires an active fastercode.ai account with at least one registered environment (Environments page in the dashboard).

Recommended: install via fastercode-ai

fastercode-ai bundles this package automatically - no separate install step. Running fastercode login with no arguments opens the Environments page in your browser and prompts for the ID/token interactively.

Direct install

If you're wiring this into your own process manager or container image rather than using the fastercode CLI, install this package directly and set its required environment variables:

pip install fastercode-runner

FASTERCODE_SAAS_BACKEND_URL   e.g. "https://fastercode.ai"
FASTERCODE_RUNNER_ID          issued when you register an environment
FASTERCODE_RUNNER_TOKEN       issued when you register a "Local Machine"/"Docker Image"
                               environment - keep it secret. For a "GitHub Actions"
                               environment, use FASTERCODE_RUNNER_OIDC_TOKEN instead (a
                               fresh token your workflow mints on every run - see the
                               Environments page for the generated workflow YAML); set
                               exactly one of the two.

Then run the console script:

fastercode-runner-agent
