This is a name-reservation placeholder. There is no usable code in this package.

Fieldseal is a portable specification and reference implementations for transparent field-level encryption-at-rest at the data-access layer. The central claim: a value encrypted by implementation A in one language is decryptable by implementation B in another language using the same key, verified by machine-readable test vectors in CI.

The project is in Phase 0 (specification and cryptographic review). The Python core library will be published under this name in Phase 1.
