fontproof

Command-line proofing with Hellbox (formerly Font Proof), the macOS font-proofing app.

This package is a thin wrapper around the Hellbox app's headless renderer. It requires the Hellbox app to be installed (download at hellbox.com).

Usage

fontproof export document.fontproof out.pdf     # render a .fontproof to PDF
fontproof render-pngs document.fontproof outdir # render pages to PNGs
fontproof proof MyFont.otf out.pdf              # proof font files directly (license required)
fontproof list-templates                        # list document templates

Every command maps onto the app's built-in CLI, so proofs render identically to the app. Useful for CI: proof your fonts on every commit.
