Food Waste Predictor
A command-line tool to predict food waste based on household size, food type, and amount purchased.
Getting Started
- Download the Project: Clone or download this repository.
- Navigate to the Folder: Open a terminal and navigate to the folder where the project is located.
- Run the Tool: Execute the command to run the prediction tool:
- Using Sample Data: The tool uses the included
food_waste_data.csvfile to make predictions. You do not need to create a new file. - Using Your Own Data: If you wish to use your own data:
- Replace
food_waste_data.csvwith your own CSV file in the same directory. - Ensure your CSV file follows the same format as the provided sample.
Example Input
- Household Size: 3
- Food Type: Fruits
- Amount Purchased: 5 kg
Installation
You can install the package using pip:
pip install food_waste_predictor
