FUTEK Device Communication

Python library for communicating with FUTEK devices.

Supported Devices

Currently supported FUTEK device models:

• USB225 Pro Elite
• USB225 Pro
• QIA128
• IDC150
• IEM100

More device support is coming soon! We are actively working to expand compatibility with additional FUTEK device models.

Getting Started

Requirements

Python Version:

• Python 3.13 - 3.14

Supported Platforms:

• Windows (x86_64 / 64-bit)
• Linux (x86_64 / 64-bit)
• Linux (aarch64 / ARM64)

Note: This package includes compiled binaries and is only available for the platforms listed above.

Example Usage

To discover and get device reading.

from futek_device_communication import FutekSerialScanner, USB225SamplingRateEnum

# Discover all FUTEK devices
devices = FutekSerialScanner.discover_devices()
device = devices[0]

reading = device.get_reading()
print(f"Reading: {reading}")

Troubleshooting

• Check that the correct COM port is available and not in use by another application
• Verify device model matches supported models (USB225, QIA128, IDC150, IEM100)
• Platform Requirements:
  • Python version must be 3.13 - 3.14
  • Supported platforms: Windows x86_64, Linux x86_64, Linux aarch64
