gora8-cli

A pip install-able launcher for the gora8 command-line tool. This package doesn't reimplement anything — gora8 is a real Go binary, built and published from github.com/gora8/cli. Installing this package just gives you a gora8 command that, on first run, downloads the correct binary for your platform from that project's GitHub Releases, verifies it against the release's published checksums, and caches it — every run after that just execs the cached binary directly, no extra overhead.

pip install gora8-cli
gora8 auth login

This is one of three ways to install the CLI — see the main CLI README for downloading a prebuilt binary directly or installing via go install.

Why a wrapper instead of a native PyPI binary distribution

Real per-platform wheels (embedding the binary directly, no download step) are the more standard approach for shipping compiled tools via PyPI, and may replace this in the future. This wrapper is the simpler version to ship first: it reuses the existing goreleaser release pipeline as-is, with no changes needed there, and needs no Python-side release step beyond bumping CLI_VERSION when a new gora8 release ships.
