Hammer Capsa
Your AI working record, kept.
Claude Code keeps a record of your work with it, then deletes that record after about 30 days. Capsa saves it before that happens.
pip3 install hammer-capsa
capsa
Capsa copies your Claude Code records (~/.claude/projects) into
~/HammerCapsa, a folder nothing deletes. It only copies: it never modifies
or removes the originals, and it never sends anything anywhere. Each run
adds only what is new. Run capsa schedule once and it runs itself daily,
syncing to your Capsa Cloud archive if this machine is paired.
Named for the capsa, the Roman box that kept scrolls safe.
A HammerAI product.
Changelog
- 0.12.4 — uploads go straight to the API host. The web domain's edge proxy dropped any original above about 8 MB with a silent 400, so large session transcripts never reached the archive; the sync only printed a count. Now every file that does not arrive is named with the server's answer. Upgrade and run
capsa synconce; the missing files upload. - 0.12.3 — Claude Code sessions keep their names: the parser reads the ai-title (and your custom rename, which wins) from the session record, so the archive shows real titles instead of blanks.
- 0.12.2 — a sync with nothing new says when the archive last grew ("Already current: a sync 22 seconds ago banked 253 files and 52 new conversations"), so a quiet run after the scheduled autorun no longer reads as data loss.
- 0.12.1 — README changelog; docs no longer say "run it weekly" (the schedule does it).
- 0.12.0 —
capsa schedule: daily automatic save + sync (macOS launchd, 18:00 and at login);capsa schedule offremoves it. - 0.11.4 —
capsa syncbanks first: one command captures from every tool, then uploads. - 0.11.2 — Cursor support (banks its chat databases).
- 0.11.1 — sync visibility: progress while a first sync runs, on the site and in the terminal.
- 0.11.0 —
capsa sync: your originals and conversations, byte for byte, in your Capsa Cloud account. Unknown commands now say so. - 0.10.0 — plain one-paragraph Mirror;
capsa inspectaccuracy harness. - 0.9.0 — dashboard leads with you (style, rhythm, curiosity), then craft, then judgment.
- 0.8.0 —
capsa= save + instant dashboard (streak, first try rate, specificity). - 0.7.0 — multi-source: GitHub Copilot and Cline banked; ChatGPT via the Capsa Capture extension and
capsa import chatgpt <export.zip>. - 0.5.0–0.6.0 — first release:
capsasave,report,mirror,todaydaily dashboard.
