HostDirect public catalogue SDK and CLI

Read-only Python client for HostDirect.nl, a Dutch editorial comparison site for hosting, email and cloud-storage packages. Python 3.9 or newer; no dependencies, account or API key.

Use

from hostdirect_client import Client, HostDirectError
client = Client(timeout=20)
result = client.compare(["cloud86", "mijnhost"])
print(result["providers"])
python -m hostdirect_client search --category email
hostdirect provider cloud86
hostdirect compare cloud86 mijnhost

catalog() obtains the complete public catalogue in one request. search(), provider() and compare() filter locally. No user questions or credentials are transmitted. Errors raise HostDirectError; the CLI writes JSON errors to stderr and exits with code 1. There are no automatic retries.

Source and price limitations

Preserve price.status, original checked dates and source URLs. Historical prices are not current offers; null is unknown, not zero. The selected providers are not the entire market. Purchases take place at the provider. The client does not create accounts, purchase hosting, change DNS or access private data.

Version 1.0.1 improves distribution metadata; the public read-only API remains compatible.
