hotlogiq

Hot quantum logic — Raven ISA and HPU programming model for open, dissipative quantum systems.

Eureka! — Archimedes, upon jumping out of the bath. We respectfully disagree.

What is Hot Logiq?

Hot Logiq is a programming model and instruction set architecture (the Raven ISA) for hot quantum computing: computation performed by open quantum systems in which dissipation (gain, loss, complex-β phase) is a computational resource rather than an error to be suppressed.

Hot quantum computing is not noisy quantum computing. A leaky pipe is a cold system with imperfect seals. A water wheel works because of the flow.

The HPU

The Hot Processing Unit (HPU) is the hardware target. Five substrate classes share the Raven ISA programming model:

Class Substrate Temperature
HPU-P PT-symmetric photonics 300 K
HPU-B Bosonic cat qubits 40 mK
HPU-R Radical-pair / molecular 300 K
HPU-C Non-Hermitian circuits 300 K
HPU-E EP sensor arrays 300 K

Status

Pre-alpha. Name reservation release — full implementation in progress.

Theory

Built on the ISA framework developed in:

  • Paper 619 (Motive ISA): doi:10.5281/zenodo.21416910
  • Paper 669 (Hot QC manifesto): TBD
