Auto Torrent Generator and Uploader for ItaTorrents

ITTup generates and uploads torrents to ItaTorrents based on input provided for movies or TV series and Games.

Repository: https://github.com/TehMaat/ittup

ITTup is a fork of Unit3Dup by 31December99, reduced to the ItaTorrents tracker only.

It performs the following tasks:

  • Scan folder and subfolders

  • Compiles various metadata information to create a torrent

  • Extracts a series of screenshots directly from the video

  • Add webp to your torrent description page

  • Extracts cover from the PDF documents

  • Generates meta-info derived from the video or game

  • Searches for the corresponding ID on TMDB, IGDB, IMDB,TVDB

  • Add trailer from TMDB or YouTube

  • Seeding in qBittorrent, Transmission or rTorrent

  • Reseeding one or more torrents at a time

  • Seed your torrents across different OS

  • Generate various tags for titles: version, resolution, uhd, platform, source, remux, multi, acodec, channels, flag, subtitle, vcodec, hdr

ITTup can grab the first page, convert it to an image (using xpdf), and then the bot can upload it to an image host, then add the link to the torrent page description.

Install and Upgrade

  • pip install –upgrade git+https://github.com/TehMaat/ittup

Keeping Unit3Dup

You don’t have to uninstall Unit3Dup: the two can be installed side by side. They have different commands (unit3dup and ittup), all of ITTup’s code lives in the single ittup package (ittup.core, ittup.common, ittup.view), and each one has its own configuration folder.

If you use both, keep in mind that:

  • Custom paths copied from your Unit3Dup configuration (WATCHER_PATH, WATCHER_DESTINATION_PATH, CACHE_PATH, TORRENT_ARCHIVE_PATH) are shared by the two tools. Don’t run both watchers on the same folder, or the same files can be uploaded twice: give ITTup its own folders in ittup.json (or set them to no_path to use the defaults inside ittup_config).

  • If your Unit3Dup is older than 0.14.x, installing ITTup in the same environment may upgrade libraries Unit3Dup depends on. To keep them isolated, install ITTup with pipx or in a virtualenv:

    pipx install git+https://github.com/TehMaat/ittup

When you no longer need Unit3Dup, you can remove it with pip uninstall unit3dup: this also removes the old top-level common, view and unit3dup modules it installed.

Configuration

The configuration is stored in ~/ittup_config/ittup.json (Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\ittup_config\ittup.json) together with tags_list.json, sign_list.json and ban_list.json.

Coming from Unit3Dup? On the first run, if Unit3Dup_config exists and ittup_config does not, ITTup copies your configuration (Unit3Dbot.json becomes ittup.json), tags, sign and ban lists into the new folder. The old folder is left untouched. Settings of the removed trackers (SIS, PTT, AST, MULTI_TRACKER) are simply ignored.

Windows Dependencies

  1. Download and unzip https://www.ffmpeg.org/download.html and add its folder to PATH environment user variable

Only for pdf

  1. Download and unzip poppler for Windows from https://github.com/oschwartz10612/poppler-windows/releases

  2. Put the folder ‘bin’ in the system path (e.g. C:\poppler-24.08.0\Library\bin)

  3. Close and reopen a new console window

  4. Test it: Run pdftocairo in the terminal

Ubuntu/Debian Dependencies

  • sudo apt install ffmpeg

Only for pdf

  • sudo apt install poppler-utils

RUN

ittup -u <filepath>
ittup -f <folderpath>
ittup -scan <folderpath>

Every upload goes to ItaTorrents: the -tracker and -mt options no longer exist. Run ittup -h for the full list of commands.
