Lawwenda gives you web-based access to a directory on your filesystem, so users can browse and download your
files from any modern browser or WebDAV client. It runs as a WSGI application, the standard for hosting
Python web apps, supported by most common web servers.
Key features:
- A clean, browser-based interface for browsing, viewing, and downloading files and folders - much like a
desktop file manager.
- Optional write access (upload, rename, move, delete) and optional password protection.
- Rich file metadata - comments, tags, ratings, and geolocation - stored via filesystem extended attributes.
- Flexible "shares": define one or several, each with its own directory, password, exclude rules, and
expiration date.
- WebDAV support for connecting via any compatible file manager.
- A well-documented Python API for building custom plugins.
- Built with security as a core design principle.
