A tiny demo package used to show an end-to-end PyPI release driven by GitHub Actions.

from lmliheng_hello import say_hello

say_hello("PyPI")  # prints: Hello, PyPI!

Or from the shell:

$ pip install lmliheng-hello
$ lmliheng-hello PyPI
Hello, PyPI!

Releasing

Pushing a tag that starts with v triggers .github/workflows/publish.yml: it runs the tests, builds an sdist and a wheel, checks the metadata with twine check, and publishes the artifacts to PyPI with pypa/gh-action-pypi-publish.

$ python -m build          # build locally
$ git tag v0.1.1 && git push origin v0.1.1   # release

The same workflow can be started by hand from the Actions tab (workflow_dispatch).
