STATUS: ACTIVE / LIVING ARCHITECTURE
VERSION: 1.4.0

00 :: CENTRAL THESIS

Logical Brutalism is an open-source architectural manifesto and scaffolding engine built for high-density B2B interfaces, dashboards, and developer tools. It operates under a non-negotiable metric: absolute structural logic and immediate execution.

Just as structuralist architecture exposes raw materials and refuses decorative coating, Logical Brutalism forces interface engineering to expose its intrinsic logic. We eliminate JavaScript bloat, zero-out runtime CSS, bypass the main thread through Server-Driven UI (HTMX/Alpine), and strictly enforce 90-degree angles with zero visual friction.

01 :: CLI SCAFFOLDING ENGINE

The CLI operates as an instantaneous scaffolding machine in $O(1)$ time, injecting pre-configured, zero-bloat project structures directly into your workspace.

🐍 Python Environments (PyPI)

Strict Requirement: uv package manager must be installed in system PATH. The engine fails immediately if uv is absent—we do not compromise on execution speed.

# Install CLI globally
pip install logical-brutalism

# Scaffold a Django project (Cookiecutter layout + django-htmx + Tailwind v3.4.x)
logical-brutalism init django <project_name>

# Scaffold a FastAPI project (High-density structure + Polars + Jinja2 + Server-Driven UI)
logical-brutalism init fastapi <project_name>

📦 Node.js / Frontend Environments (NPM)

# Vite Static (Vanilla Vite + HTMX + Alpine.js + Strict Tailwind Reset)
npx logical-brutalism init vite-static <project_name>

# Express HTMX (Express.js + EJS Server-Driven UI + Tailwind v3.4.x)
npx logical-brutalism init express-htmx <project_name>

02 :: PRESET ARCHITECTURE MATRIX

Command Stack / Dependencies Layout / Architecture CSS Engine
init django Python, django, django-htmx, uv Cookiecutter layout (config/ module) Standalone Tailwind v3.4.x
init fastapi Python, fastapi, jinja2, polars /routers, /templates, /core CDN Engine + Hardened Reset
init vite-static Node, Vite, htmx.org, alpinejs Single Page / Static Partial Pipeline Tailwind v3.4.x (Locked)
init express-htmx Node, Express.js, EJS, htmx.org /views, /routes, /public Tailwind v3.4.x Build Pipeline
dash (NEW) HTML5, Alpine.js, HTMX, Tailwind Single dashboard.html file CDN Engine + Locked Overrides

03 :: THE B2B KILLER FEATURE: dash

Introduced in v1.4.0, the dash command generates a standalone, production-ready B2B high-density control panel template directly in your current directory.

# Generate a complete control panel interface in O(1) time
logical-brutalism dash
  • Features included: KPI grid with variance metrics, a high-density transaction ledger (table) configured for HTMX pagination, and a simulated live system log stream. Zero setup required.

04 :: HARD SYSTEM CONSTRAINTS

All presets generated by the CLI strictly enforce the three core axioms of the design system:

  1. Zero Rounded Corners: borderRadius is locked to { none: '0' } across all Tailwind configurations.
  2. Zero Animation Friction: All transitions, animations, and decorative box-shadow utilities are stripped from the configuration tree.
  3. Determined Color Hierarchy:
  • #0A0A0A (Void / Background)
  • #FFB000 (P3 Amber Phosphor / Critical Action - Single instance per view)
  • #888888 (Body Text / Fatigue Prevention)

06 :: EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE & BENCHMARKS

  • Empirical Benchmarks Matrix: A comprehensive laboratory comparing Logical Brutalism (Server-Driven UI) against Virtual DOM SPAs (React, Ant Design, Material) under high-frequency B2B stress.
