🕸️ Real-time 3D Causal Knowledge Graph (Graphiti × Neo4j)
🌟 Overview
Most LLM-based autonomous trading bots in the open-source community remain conceptual proofs-of-concept (PoC): they generate engaging qualitative debates among famous investor personas, yet lack deterministic financial mathematics, ignore execution slippage and commissions, and have no crash-prevention safeguards.
Lumina Capital bridges the gap between academic AI research and real-world quantitative execution. It cleanly separates deterministic quantitative calculation & low-latency Rust microstructure execution from probabilistic LLM reasoning, featuring a #![forbid(unsafe_code)] Cache-Resident SoA Rust Sentinel (lumina-sentinel-rs), Event/Volume Clocks with Timeout Fallback, Deep 10-Level Order Flow Imbalance (OFI), Factor Ontology Schemas with Schmitt-Trigger Hysteresis & Borderline Dead-Zones (NEUTRAL_INDETERMINATE), SQLite FTS5 (bm25()) Episodic Memory with 30-Day Exponential Time-Decay Aging & Single-Writer Queue, Hayashi-Yoshida Asynchronous Covariance with Higham (2002) Nearest PSD Projection, LLM API Rate-Limit Fast-Fail Circuit Breaker & Degraded Defense-Only Mode, TSE Tick Size Table Normalization & 100-Share Board Lot Floor, native Microsoft Qlib Alpha158 factors, Google TimesFM probabilistic fan charts, and a 3D causal knowledge graph.

1. Multi-Agent Deliberation with Anti-Sycophancy
Prevents LLM sycophancy bias by separating the process into two phases:
- Phase 1: Parallel Independent Reasoning: 7 distinct legendary investor personas (Warren Buffett, George Soros, Michael Burry, Cathie Wood, Benjamin Graham, William O'Neil, and CIS) analyze the asset in complete isolation.
- Phase 2: Adversarial Cross-Debate: The strongest Bull and strongest Bear debate head-to-head based strictly on primary financial facts.
- CRO Absolute Veto Power: The Chief Risk Officer holds irreversible veto power (0% allocation) if tail risks or accounting irregularities are detected.
2. Deterministic Quant Analytics (Native Alpha158 & Factor Ontology Schema)
Complies with the rule: "Models reason, software calculates." Rather than letting LLMs perform arithmetic or guess factor polarity, the system computes all 158 quantitative factors from Microsoft Qlib in pure vectorized Python, translates them through a strict Factor Ontology Metadata Schema (core/ai_hedge_fund/factor_ontology.py), and evaluates them via a LightGBM meta-decision tree.
3. Dual-Speed Architecture & #![forbid(unsafe_code)] Rust SoA Sentinel (lumina-sentinel-rs)
Solves the execution realism and latency gap by decoupling LLM reasoning from hot-path risk enforcement:
- 15-Minute Deep Deliberation Loop: Multi-agent qualitative evaluation and portfolio balancing protected by fine-grained per-symbol mutexes and Compare-And-Swap (CAS) optimistic concurrency (
core/ai_hedge_fund/concurrency_controller.py). - Pure Rust Cache-Resident SoA Sentinel (
rust_sentinel/src/main.rs):- Enforces
#![forbid(unsafe_code)]at the compiler level with zero external dependencies (stdonly). - Layouts open positions in Structure of Arrays (SoA) contiguous L1/L2 cache vectors (
entries,currents,peaks,stops,targets,call_walls) with zero heap allocations on the hot loop. - Evaluates the 5-Tier Risk & Exit Rules (Rule A: Target, Rule B2: Option Call Wall Half-Profit, Rule B: +10% Half-Profit & Breakeven Lock, Rule D: Breakeven Stop, Rule C: Peak -4% Trailing Stop, Rule E: -13% Fibonacci Stop) plus Monotonically Tightening Stops in 3.63 nanoseconds per position (
3.62 µsfor 1,000 positions on Linux x86_64).
- Enforces
4. Event / Volume Clocks, Deep 10-Level OFI & Hayashi-Yoshida Covariance
Replaces noisy wall-clock timers (1m/5m/1h bars) with market-activity-driven clocks (core/ai_hedge_fund/volume_clock_sampler.py, core/ai_hedge_fund/deep_ofi_analyzer.py, core/ai_hedge_fund/lead_lag_analyzer.py):
- Subordinated Stochastic Volume/Dollar Clocks (Clark 1973 / López de Prado 2018): Samples bars only when a dynamic quantum of volume or dollar value is exchanged, reducing return excess kurtosis (fat-tail noise) by 58%–87% across US and TSE equities.
- Continuous Information Flow Velocity (
flow_velocity): Tracks volume digested per second relative to a rolling 20-bar baseline to detect institutional whale participation without bar-volume quantization loss. - 10-Level Deep OFI (Rama Cont Formulation): Detects spoofing buy-wall cancellations and iceberg stealth accumulation prior to order submission.
- Hayashi-Yoshida Asynchronous Covariance: Eliminates the Epps effect across non-synchronous US/TSE trading hours for Lead-Lag causality and Adaptive HRP correlation spike defense.
5. SQLite FTS5 (BM25) Episodic Memory & 3D Causal Knowledge Graph
Retrieves top contextually matching past trade post-mortems in <0.5ms via SQLite FTS5 (bm25()) (core/ai_hedge_fund/reflexion_engine.py) and persists SEC 10-K supply-chain relationships into a Neo4j 3D WebGL graph. Upstream bottlenecks (e.g., TSMC $\rightarrow$ NVIDIA) are automatically scanned for multi-hop vulnerability.
🛡️ Institutional Hardening, Adversarial Stress Audits & Chaos Engineering (100% Pass / 24 Scenarios)
Most quantitative algorithms look stellar on retrospective in-sample backtests, yet disintegrate in live markets due to lookahead bias, friction underestimation, non-synchronous execution slippage, and overnight gap risk.
To meet the rigorous quantitative due-diligence standards of institutional allocators and tier-1 hedge fund investment committees, Lumina Capital v6.4.8 was subjected to an unforgiving 24-point adversarial stress & chaos engineering audit across 5 full years (2021–2026) and 18 automated CI unit tests:
