Main Street
Public policy hedonic assessment — evaluate whether policy serves Main Street's hedonic needs using real federal data.
Pulls data from BLS (CPI, ATUS, Employment), MIT Living Wage Calculator, and Census ACS. Assesses policy through the Hedonics framework: which ends does a policy serve, which costs does it modify, and who bears the distributional effects?
Part of the AltPath AI ecosystem.
The Four-Package Architecture
- altpath — Personal hedonic assessment (how is YOUR life?)
- hedonics — Shared taxonomy + fungibility calculus (the common language)
- highnoon — Software purpose assessment (what does this CODE do for people?)
- mainstreet — Policy hedonic assessment (does this POLICY serve Main Street?)
