Installation

From PyPI:

pip install markitdowng[all]

From source:

git clone [e-mail]:microsoft/markitdowng.git
cd markitdowng
pip install -e packages/markitdowng[all]

Usage

Command-Line

markitdowng path-to-file.pdf > document.md

Python API

from markitdown import MarkItDown

md = MarkItDown()
result = md.convert("test.xlsx")
print(result.text_content)
