⚡ MausamMesh (मौसम मेश)
The Sovereign Edge Meteorological Compression, Spatial Slicing & Disaster Early-Warning Engine
🌍 Overview
MausamMesh is a high-performance, open-source Python library designed to bridge the global gap between 50 GB Heavy Supercomputer Weather Grids (GRIB2 / NetCDF / Doppler Radars) and Bandwidth-Starved Citizens & Field Responders on 2G/3G Networks.
Built for zero-dependency execution across cloud microservices, edge devices (Raspberry Pi), and offline mobile platforms.
🚀 Key Features
- 95% Atmospheric Quantization: Compresses 4 MB Float32 grid arrays into compact 40 KB Int8 byte buffers with error bounded within WMO sensor limits ($\pm 0.05^\circ\text{C}$).
- O(1) Bilinear Coordinate Extraction: Slices precise village weather from massive national grids in < 0.2 milliseconds.
- Disaster Risk & Siren Engine: Evaluates convective lightning instability ($\text{CAPE} > 2000\text{ J/kg}$) and Rational Flash Flood Runoff ($Q = \frac{C \cdot I \cdot A}{360}$), generating NDMA 800Hz Siren protocols.
- Kisan Agromet Stoichiometry: Converts target NPK into commercial Urea (46%), DAP (18:46:0), and MOP (60%) bags, plus FAO-56 tubewell pump runtime hours.
- 22 Indian Languages Voice Distillation: Translates raw meteorology matrices into natural 15-second spoken audio scripts.
📦 Installation
pip install mausam-mesh
💻 Quickstart (3 Lines of Python)
import mausam_mesh as mm
# 1. Slice 50 GB grid to a precise village in 0.2 ms
point = mm.slice_point(lat=30.9010, lon=75.8573)
print(f"Village Temp: {point.temperature_c}°C | Rain: {point.rain_mm_hr} mm/hr")
# 2. Evaluate flash flood runoff & emergency acoustic siren
threat = mm.evaluate_threat(
rain_intensity_mm_hr=point.rain_mm_hr,
catchment_area_ha=25.0,
surface_type="concrete",
cape_index=2450.0 # Extreme lightning instability
)
if threat.is_extreme:
print(threat.alert_level) # "RED"
print(threat.siren_protocol) # 800Hz Sawtooth Wail Siren Triggered!
# 3. Automated 3-Hourly Government Data Sync Daemon (Step 1)
from mausam_mesh import MeshSyncWorker
worker = MeshSyncWorker()
# Run single sync for 3-hourly timesteps (f000..f024)
worker.sync_once()
# Instant O(1) memory-mapped slice (< 3 microseconds)
forecast = worker.query_location_3hourly(lat=26.17, lon=76.70)
print(f"Sheopur 24h Timeline: {len(forecast['timeline'])} 3-hour timesteps!")
for step in forecast["timeline"][:3]:
print(f" Step {step['forecast_hour']}: Temp {step['temperature_2m']}°C, Rain {step['rain_rate']} mm/h")
# Or run 24/7 background daemon checking every 3 hours:
# worker.run_daemon(interval_hours=3.0)
