mcp-server-discord (security placeholder)

This is not an MCP server. This package only prints a warning and exits with an error code.

Why does it exist?

The mcp-agent CLI (lastmile-ai/mcp-agent) writes {"command": "uvx", "args": ["mcp-server-discord"]} for mcp-agent server add recipe discord, but no Python package of this name existed on PyPI. Anyone could have registered the name, and every agent with that configuration would have run their code at startup.

Source: https://github.com/lastmile-ai/mcp-agent/blob/f62d849350816588b1c6294e7914bbe4d8b84072/src/mcp_agent/cli/commands/server.py

What it does

Nothing, apart from printing a warning to stderr and exiting with code 1. No dependencies, no network access.

If you see the warning

Remove the discord server from your mcp_agent.config.yaml and use an MCP server you have checked at its official source.

For the maintainers of mcp-agent

The name is yours whenever you want it. Open an issue or contact me, and I will transfer it right away.
