mediayoink

One command that picks the right downloader for a URL (yt-dlp, gallery-dl or instaloader) and falls through to the next one when a tool fails. A failed tool is retried first, and yt-dlp and gallery-dl resume partial files.

Install it through mediayoinker, the launcher that keeps it updated and runs it as yoink (or myoink if another yoink is already on your PATH):

pip install mediayoinker

The launcher installs each new version only if it carries a valid release signature. pip install mediayoink also works and gives a mediayoink command that pip keeps up to date instead.
