Memory Architect

Four skills that design, ship, audit, and compare the AI memory system for your codebase — installed into whichever AI coding tool you already use.

Install

uvx memory-architect install            # global: every project on this machine
uvx memory-architect install --project  # this repo only, commit it for your team

install detects your editors and writes the skills where each one looks for them. Add --dry-run to see the exact file list first, --host <name> to target one explicitly, and --force to overwrite files you have hand-edited (a backup is kept).

Use

Type /memory-design in your editor's chat. Then, in order:

Command	What it does
/memory-design	reads your code, researches the landscape live, writes memory-design/architecture.md
/memory-ship	implements that architecture in your codebase
/memory-audit	re-researches every 2-3 months and diffs against the doc
/memory-compare	head-to-head comparison of named frameworks

Supported hosts

Claude Code · Cursor · Windsurf/Devin · Antigravity · anything reading AGENTS.md (Codex, Amp, Zed, Jules, OpenCode, Aider, Warp, Junie) · GitHub Copilot · Cline · Gemini CLI. Anything else: --host generic vendors the skills and prints what to paste.

Claude Code users can also install this as a plugin from the marketplace in .claude-plugin/.

How it works

No API keys, no LLM calls, no billing. The package only copies markdown into the right places; your editor's own agent does the reasoning. Skills are vendored once to .memory-architect/skills/; each host gets either a native skill file or a short pointer.
