memorybrain-mcp
Connect MemoryBrain (memorybrain.ai) to your AI clients. MemoryBrain is a personal memory you own, with the source of every note, served as a remote MCP server with OAuth. The same memory works in ChatGPT and Claude.
Not related to the memorybrain package on PyPI, which is a different product.
Install
pipx install memorybrain-mcp # or: uvx memorybrain-mcp
Use
memorybrain-mcp check # is the server up, and where does sign-in start?
memorybrain-mcp setup claude # steps for Claude (web, iPhone)
memorybrain-mcp setup chatgpt # steps for ChatGPT (web)
memorybrain-mcp setup claude-code # prints the `claude mcp add` command; --run to run it
memorybrain-mcp setup cursor # JSON for ~/.cursor/mcp.json
memorybrain-mcp setup vscode # JSON for .vscode/mcp.json
There is no API key. Sign-in is OAuth with your email and a 6-digit code, and the client registers itself. MemoryBrain is in private beta: only approved emails can sign in (waitlist, demo without an account).
Tested clients: ChatGPT (web) and Claude (web, iPhone). Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code use the same standard remote MCP flow but have not been tested yet.
