Install

pip install mpiptop

Usage

mpiptop

Common options:

mpiptop --rankfile /etc/mpirun/rankfile_01_02
mpiptop --prterun-pid 12345
mpiptop --slurm-job 123456
mpiptop --refresh 5
mpiptop --pythonpath /path/to/your/code
mpiptop record --out ./mpiptop-session-20260123-120000.jsonl

Slurm notes: if SLURM_JOB_ID is set or you have exactly one running job, mpiptop will auto-detect it.

Record/review (record is batch mode; use plain mpiptop for the TUI):

mpiptop record
mpiptop record --quiet
