Shivexa NOVA Terminal AI

AI-Powered Error Detection and Explanation for Developers

NOVA Terminal AI is a Python package designed to help developers understand programming errors using Google Gemini AI. It provides clear explanations, possible causes, and practical fixes for Python and Node.js errors.

✨ Features

  • 🐍 Python Error Analysis — Understand Python exceptions and tracebacks.
  • 🟢 Node.js Error Analysis — Get explanations for Node.js and npm errors.
  • 🤖 AI-Powered Explanations — Uses Google Gemini to analyze error messages.
  • 🛠️ Practical Solutions — Suggests possible causes, fixes, and commands.
  • 🔑 NOVA API Key Setup — Configure your Gemini API key directly through NOVA Terminal.
  • 💾 Persistent Key Storage — Save your API key for future sessions when supported by the NOVA integration.
  • 📦 Python Package — Integrate AI-powered error explanations into Python applications.

📦 Installation

Install the package using pip:

python -m pip install nova-terminal-ai

🚀 Quick Start

Use NOVA Terminal to configure your Gemini API key:

NOVA > nova ai set-key
Enter Gemini API Key: ********

Gemini API key configured successfully!

Once configured, use NOVA AI to analyze programming errors through the supported NOVA Terminal commands.

You can also use the package directly in Python:

from nova_terminal_ai import explain_error

error = "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'requests'"

result = explain_error(error)
print(result)

🔐 API Key Requirements

NOVA Terminal AI uses the Google Gemini API to generate explanations.

  • A valid Gemini API key is required.
  • Internet access is required for AI requests.
  • API key configuration and persistent storage depend on the NOVA Terminal integration.
  • Never share or publish your API key.
  • Google API quotas, model availability, and pricing may apply.

⚙️ Requirements

  • Python 3.10 or newer
  • Google Gemini API access
  • Internet connection for AI-powered explanations

🧠 How It Works

  1. Capture or provide a programming error.
  2. Send the error text to Google Gemini.
  3. Generate a concise explanation of the possible cause.
  4. Suggest a practical fix and relevant command.
  5. Display the result in the application.

🏗️ Shivexa NOVA Ecosystem
