Update exchange rates using Banxico

Currency Rate Update: Banxico

This module extends Currency Rate Update with the Banxico exchange rate web service for Mexican companies.

It adds Bank of Mexico as a currency rate provider and supports EUR, CAD, JPY, GBP, and USD rates published by Banxico.

Configuration

To enable scheduled currency rates update:

1. Go to Invoicing > Configuration > Settings.

2. Ensure Automatic Currency Rates (OCA) is checked.

To configure the Banxico provider:

1. Go to Banxico to generate an API token.

2. Go to Invoicing > Configuration > Currency Rates Providers.

3. Create a provider or edit an existing one, select Bank of Mexico as the Source Service, and paste the token in Banxico Token.

4. Select the currencies to update and save the provider.

Usage

After configuration, currency rates are updated like any other OCA provider:

• On the provider form, use Update Rates to fetch rates for a date range.

• When automatic updates are enabled, the scheduled job refreshes rates according to the provider interval.

If your company currency is not MXN, Banxico rates are still fetched in MXN and recalculated for your base currency. A warning is shown on the provider form in that case.
