Configure your partner mention suggestions in chatter messages

Mail Mention Suggestion Config

This module allows you to configure which partners will appear in your chatter messages mention suggestions (the users that Odoo recommends you when you write an @)

Avaliable configuration options:

• users: Will suggest partners that are related to any kind of users(internal, portal or public).”

• users_internal: Will only suggest partners related to internal users.

• None: Will suggest all partners, this is the default odoo option.

Configuration

To configure this module, you need to:

1. Go to Settings / General Settings.

2. Search the “Mail Mention Suggestions Option” and set your desired configuration value.

Usage

To use this module, you need to:

1. Go to a form view of a record of a model thas has chatter. (Example: Contacts)

2. In “Log note”, write ‘@’. The contacts that appear should be limited to the configured ones.

Known issues / Roadmap

• In some cases, other OWL session cached users can appear in your suggestions. The searchPartnerSuggestions js function has been inherited to fix that.

• Potential improvement: Add more mail_mention_suggestion_options, or an option to configure directly a domain.

• Potential improvement: Simplify the loop of the get_mention_suggestions() function using the itertools library.
