Auto create lots for byproducts on manufacturing orders

MRP Byproduct Auto Create Lot

This module extends the functionality of stock module to allow auto create lots for produced by-products. With the auto create lot set. Each produced by-product will get an unique lot number assigned. (Works for serial numbers as well.)

Configuration

To configure this module, you need to:

1. Go to a product Manufacturing > Products > a product.

2. Set ‘auto create lot’ option for the products you need.

Usage

To use this module you need to:

1. Go to a Product > General Information tab.

2. Set a “By Lots” tracking option for this product.

3. Set auto create lot.

4. Go to Manufacturing > Manufacturing orders edit or create one.

5. Add the by-product on the MO (Quantity > 1).

6. Validate and produce the Manufacturing order.

A lot number is automatically created and assigned to the by-product. With the sequence defined by the “stock_picking_auto_create_lot” module.
