Shopify Connector Accounting

Shopify Connector Accounting extends the core connector with Shopify Payments payouts, balance transactions, fees, disputes, gift-card liability, and multi-currency reconciliation.

Journal entries are planned from exact Shopify amounts and must balance before posting. Configuration or amount mismatches raise typed operational errors; the module never inserts forced balancing lines.

Configuration

Install this module after the core connector and grant the Shopify custom app Shopify Payments read access.

On each instance, configure the payout journal, bank/clearing accounts, fee and adjustment accounts, currency handling, and gateway mappings. Verify the opening configuration with a small completed payout before enabling the daily payout schedule.

Usage

Import payouts from the instance financial configuration or let the daily drift schedule collect payouts and disputes. Review each imported payout’s transaction totals and mappings before generating its journal entry.

If planning reports a missing account or money mismatch, fix the mapping and retry the binding. Do not add manual balancing lines to connector-generated entry plans. Reconcile the balanced posted entry with the bank settlement.
