Bidirectional operations for the Stock Intercomany module

This module extends stock_multicompany and allows to define both incoming and outgoing operation types. It allows to have a flexible bidirectional inventory flow between multiple companies in the system.

Use Cases / Context

Sometimes you need not only send goods from one company to another but also receive them vice versa.

One can also have more than two companies which require to send and receive goods between all of them.

Configuration

Go to “Inventory-> Settings” and scroll to the “Operations” section.

Set operation type in the “Intercompany Operation Type OUT” to enable outgoing intercompany operations.

Set operation type in the “Intercompany Operation Type IN” to enable incoming intercompany operations.

Enable “Set Qty Done” to set the “Done” quantity based on the counterpart picking.

Enable “Move Packages” to use the same package for the incoming operation as was used for the outgoing one.

Enable “Mirror Lots/Serial Numbers” if you want lots to create assign lots/serial numbers with the same names in the destination company automatically.

Usage

In Company A create a new operation with the “Intercompany OUT” operation type and “Company B” as a partner.

Validate the picking.

New picking will be created in Company B with the “Intercompany IN” operation type and “Company A” as a partner.
