Informs you of historical tidbits about a given calendar day
About
Provides historical events for today or any other calendar day using information pulled from Wikipedia.
Examples
- "What happened today in history?"
- "who was born today in history?"
- "who died today in history?"
- "Tell me about events in history on December 12th"
- "What historical events happened on June 16th?"
- "Tell me more"
- "What's another event?"
License
Historical data has been gathered via https://github.com/muffinista/really-simple-history-api and can also be accessed via https://history.muffinlabs.com/
The historical data is licensed using CC BY-SA 3.0, the same license used for Wikipedia data.
wikipedia and the muffinlabs api are not used directly in order to allow offline usage and language support, Dialog files in the native OVOS format were generated for english and integrated into our translation platform
