NVIDIA ovrtx
ovrtx is a C and Python library for embedding NVIDIA Omniverse RTX sensor simulation and visualization directly into applications.
It provides real-time, physically accurate camera, lidar, radar, and other sensor simulation for physical AI applications, including robotics learning, synthetic data generation, and industrial and design workflows. Starting with version 0.4, ovrtx can attach to ovstage, which manages the runtime scene, ordinal-keyed writes, and change detection. Renderer-owned scene APIs remain available for standalone compatibility in 0.4 but are deprecated.
Pre-release: the API, runtime behavior, and packaging may change.
Install
Python 3.10 through 3.13 are supported. On Windows, Python 3.11 or newer is recommended because Python 3.10 distributions may bundle an older VC runtime. Install ovrtx and the recommended ovstage integration from PyPI:
pip install ovrtx ovstage
Runtime initialization requires a compatible NVIDIA RTX-capable GPU and supported NVIDIA driver. See the driver requirements.
