ozx

ozx is a plugin launcher: ozx <name> [args] runs the ozx-<name> executable on the PATH, as git and kubectl do.

$ ozx plugins
hello
$ ozx hello --name you
Command What it does
ozx plugins Lists the ozx-<name> plugins found on the PATH
ozx version Prints the version
ozx <name> [args] Runs ozx-<name> with the arguments, and exits with its exit code (127: no such plugin)

A plugin is any executable named ozx-<name> in a PATH directory; the first one found wins. On Windows the Rust build also runs ozx-<name>.cmd and .bat; the npm and PyPI builds run .exe plugins only.

Install

Channel Command Build
crates.io cargo install ozx-cli Rust
Homebrew brew install ozx4/tap/ozx Rust, built from the crates.io source
npm npm install -g ozx, or npx ozx a JavaScript port (Node 18+)
PyPI pipx install ozx, or uv tool install ozx a Python port (3.8+)

Each behaves the same, checked by one conformance test.

The full ozx
