paperchill - a chatty paper mill
paperchill is a proof of concept that lets you upload a paper in PDF format, gives you a summary
of the paper, and answers questions about the paper.
Installation
$ pip install paperchill
Usage
Run the flask app:
$ export FLASK_APP=paperchill
$ flask run
Navigate to http://localhost:5000 in your browser. You will see a form to upload a PDF file.
After clicking "Upload", it will take a while (more or less a minute, depending on the paper's length) to process the PDF file.
Once the processing is done, you will see a summary of the paper. Below the summary, there is a dropdown with five pre-generated questions and a free-text input field to ask your own questions. Ask any question to get more details about the paper or help your understanding of the topic.
