petro-mcp
A Model Context Protocol server for petroleum engineering calculations.
⚠️ Version notice — do not use pre-1.0.0 releases. Every version before 1.0.0 has been withdrawn: those releases contain critical calculation errors that can produce incorrect engineering results, and their artifacts have been removed from PyPI. Install only 1.0.0 or later —
pip install "petro-mcp>=1.0.0". Any copy of an older version obtained from a mirror, cache, or third-party listing should be discarded.
Install
pip install petro-mcp
Run
petro-mcp # start the MCP server (stdio)
petro-mcp --list-tools # list available tool groups
petro-mcp --tools las,decline # load only specific groups
petro-mcp --allowed-paths /data/wells # restrict file reads to a directory
Tool groups
