pre-commit Black

PHRINGE is a synthetic PHoton count data generator for nullING intErferometers. It can simulate the observation of an exoplanetary system with a space-based nulling interferometer and generate realistic data in terms of photon counts as a function of wavelength/spectral channel and time, considering both astrophysical and instrumental noise sources.

Documentation

The documentation including installation and usage instructions, examples and a general user documentation can be found on phringe.readthedocs.io.

Features

  • Model different array architectures including different array configurations (Emma-X, Triangle, Pentagon) and different nulling schemes (double Bracewell, Kernel)
  • Model noise contributions from astrophysical sources including stellar, local zodi and exozodi leakage
  • Model noise contributions from systematic instrument perturbations including amplitude, phase (OPD) and polarization rotation perturbations
  • Configure the osbervation and the observatory with all major parameters
  • Configure the observed planetary system including the star, planets and exozodi
  • Export the photometry data as a FITS file
