APK/AXML Data Extractor

ptandroid is a tool for extracting information from android application packages or android manifest files.

Installation

pip install ptandroid

Add to PATH

If you cannot invoke the script in your terminal, its probably because its not in your PATH. Fix it by running commands below.

Add to path for BASH

echo "export PATH=\"`python3 -m site --user-base`/bin:\$PATH\"" >> ~/.bashrc
source ~/.bashrc

Add to path for ZSH

echo "export PATH=\"`python3 -m site --user-base`/bin:\$PATH\"" >> ~/.zshhrc
source ~/.zshhrc

Usage examples

ptandroid -f app.apk                           # Dump information from apk
ptandroid -f AndroidManifest.xml               # Dump information from AndroidManifest
ptandroid -f AndroidManifest.xml -a -p -r      # Print activities, providers, receivers

Options

   -f   --file          <file>  Load File: app.apk, AndroidManifest.xml [.apk, .xml]
   -m   --manifest              Print axml content
   -i   --info                  Print basic file info
   -c   --components            Print all components information
   -a   --activities            Print activities info
   -p   --providers             Print providers info
   -r   --receivers             Print receivers info
   -s   --services              Print services info
   -cu  --content-urls          Print content urls [apk file required]
   -hu  --https-urls            Print http(s) urls [apk file required]
   -j   --json                  Enable JSON output
   -v   --version               Show script version and exit
   -h   --help                  Show this help message and exit

Usage examples

   ptandroid -f app.apk
   ptandroid -f AndroidManifest.xml

Dependencies

- androguard
- defusedxml
- ptlibs

We use androguard and apktool for parsing APKs. JRE is required.
