A terminal-based survival game inspired by Buckshot Roulette.

Pylette is a complete revival and expansion of one of my very old projects from 2024.

The original project was a very basic recreation of Buckshot Roulette with simple mechanics, minimal UI, and limited gameplay. Yeah, I found it somedays ago apperantly and got it working <3

This version has been rebuilt from the ground up with:

• A full terminal user interface
• Colored HUD and menus
• ASCII-based visuals
• Multiple game modes
• Item mechanics
• Dealer AI
• Persistent statistics
• Cross-platform support
• PyPI installation support

The goal of Pylette is not just to recreate the original idea, but to turn it into a proper standalone terminal game.

Installation

Pylette is available on PyPI.

Install using:

pip install pylette-game

Game Modes

Normal Mode

The main game mode.

Survive three rounds and defeat the dealer.

Double or Nothing

A high-risk mode where you can increase your winnings after each victory.

Choose between:

• Cashing out
• Continuing for a larger reward

Controls

Pylette runs completely inside the terminal.

Controls:

• Arrow keys - Navigate menus
• Enter - Select
• Ctrl + C - Exit safely

Platform Support

• macOS

Pylette is designed to work with standard terminal environments and does not require any external software.

Running From Source

pip install -e .
