pyrig-containers
A pyrig plugin to integrate containers.
Overview
pyrig-containers is a pyrig plugin that adds container support to a pyrig-managed Python project. Installed as a development dependency, it plugs into pyrig's config-generation and tooling system, so the files and CI steps needed to build and publish a container image are scaffolded, validated, and kept in sync automatically and is handled by pyrig.
What it adds
- A Containerfile — A ready to use Containerfile.
- Container tooling in the rig — Adds two tool classes that wrap podman and GHCR and add each a markdown badge.
- Automated image publishing — adds a job to the deploy workflow that build and pushes the container image to the registry.
Requirements
Just add the plugin and pyrig handles the rest for you.
uv add pyrig-containers --dev
uv run pyrig sync
If you want to build the image locally as well, you will need to install podman.
