pyrig-env
A pyrig plugin that contributes a .env file.
Overview
pyrig-env is a pyrig plugin that ensures
every project has an empty .env file for local environment variables and
secrets, excluded from version control so nothing sensitive is ever committed.
What it adds
- A managed
.envfile —pyrig synccreates an empty.envfile if one is missing. Its content is never read or overwritten afterward, so you are free to populate and maintain it by hand. - Version-control exclusion —
.envis automatically treated as git-ignored, so secrets placed in it are never committed.
Usage
uv add pyrig-env --dev
uv run pyrig sync
