A pyrig plugin for public repository functionality.

Overview

pyrig-public is a pyrig plugin that configures GitHub features for public repositories.

What it adds

  • Public visibility — configures the repository to be public.
  • Fork pull request approval — requires approval before workflows from external contributors' forks can run.
  • Private vulnerability reporting — enables GitHub's private reporting form and links to it from the generated security policy.
  • API reference — generates docs/api.md from the package's public Python docstrings.

Usage

uv add pyrig-public --dev
uv run pyrig sync

This generates the plugin's configuration overrides and the docs/api.md API reference page. Applying the generated repository settings makes the repository public. Review its contents and GitHub's visibility-change consequences before applying them.

Documentation

See the documentation site for configuration details and the API reference.
