A simple CarMD API wrapper

Project description

A simple CarMD API wrapper.

License: MIT.

Disclaimer

CarMD is a paid service. A free subscription will allow the user to make 10 requests per day. You can purchase API credits via CarMD.

Installation

pip install python-carmd

API Examples

Make an instance of the CarMD class with your authorization and partner-token API keys. For example:

Authorization

Basic MmE0MzBkZjYtOTIxOS00ODhjLTllMjktNjQ2MDlhMmY1OWZi

Partner-token

e18dc0f62dfb456398c83b893d3e81e1

from carmd import CarMD
car = CarMD("Basic MmE0MzBkZjYtOTIxOS00ODhjLTllMjktNjQ2MDlhMmY1OWZi",
            "e18dc0f62dfb456398c83b893d3e81e1")

You can use either VIN or make to specify your vehicle. Assign to a new object.

# Using VIN -- car.vin(vin)
my_vehicle = car.vin("1GNALDEK9FZ108495")
print(my_vehicle)

>>> CarMD Object - Vehicle ID: {'vin': '1GNALDEK9FZ108495'}

# Using make -- car.make(year, make, model)
my_chevy = car.make(2015, "Chevrolet", "Equinox")
print(my_chevy)

>>> CarMD Object - Vehicle ID: {'year': 2015, 'make': 'CHEVROLET', 'model': 'EQUINOX'}
