An open source analytics library built for R-LAY workflows. Designed to give the R-LAY platform a reliable, reusable foundation for sports data, modelling, and outcome analysis.

R-LAY is the product and application layer. r055y is the shared library layer: data contracts, feature engineering, model evaluation, and other reusable analysis utilities live here as the platform takes shape.

Status

This is the clean 0.0.1.post1 foundation for the R-LAY analytics era. The earlier GIS placeholder implementation has been intentionally removed before the new analytics modules are introduced.

Development

python -m pip install -e .

Building blocks

The first modules will provide:

• repeatable data preparation and validation;
• feature engineering for team, game, and player analysis;
• model evaluation, calibration, and backtesting utilities; and
• clear output contracts for the R-LAY application layer.

New modules will be added deliberately as the R-LAY data pipeline and modelling requirements are defined.

Releases

From the dev folder, run one of the following release scripts:

• publish-initial.bat to publish the initial 0.0.1.post1 release;
• publish-patch.bat for backwards-compatible fixes;
• publish-minor.bat for backwards-compatible features; or
• publish-major.bat for breaking changes.

Each script bumps the package version, opens the changelog for release notes, builds the package, and uploads it to PyPI. Set the PYPI_TOKEN environment variable before publishing.
