Coverage Gate Lint
Runs the same checker as the npm package
@readystack/coverage-gate-linton a Node.js runtime that pip installs for you (nodejs-wheel-binaries) - no system Node.js needed. Your files are checked locally.
Finds the coverage gates in your repo that can never fail a build
Install
coverage-gate-lint file
Node 18+. The same 14 rules as the VS Code extension, from a terminal or CI.
Free
- Check the coverage config file you have open against all 14 rules and name every gate in it that can never fail the build, with line numbers and the fix
--ruleslists every rule
With a licence ($29 once)
- Sweep every coverage config and CI workflow in the workspace in one pass and export a dated evidence report of which gates block and which do not
@readystack/coverage-gate-lint --dir ./templates --report html --out report.html
A contract CI/DevOps engineer bills about $150/hour, and judging every coverage config and workflow in a mid-sized monorepo by hand is most of an afternoon
Use from an AI agent (MCP)
Claude Code · Cursor · Windsurf · any MCP client - add to your MCP config:
{ "mcpServers": { "coverage-gate-lint": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "@readystack/coverage-gate-lint", "--mcp"] } } }
Tools: check_text and check_file (free) · check_dir (licence). The agent gets every finding with the line number.
Use in CI
- name: Coverage Gate Lint
run: npx -y @readystack/coverage-gate-lint --dir . --ci
(container: docker run --rm -v "$PWD:/work" getreadystack/coverage-gate-lint --dir /work --ci)
