RemotiveLabs - CLI
Use this CLI with our cloud and broker as a compliment to code and web tools.

Install
Quick install (any platform) — picks the right native package manager
(Homebrew on macOS, apt/yum on Linux) and falls back to the self-contained
bundle (signed .pkg on macOS, tar bundle on Linux):
curl -fsSL https://storage.googleapis.com/beamy-public-releases/remotivelabs-cli/install.sh | bash
Run install.sh --help for options (specific version, --force, --method,
--dry-run). The individual channels below also work directly.
macOS (Homebrew) — installs a self-contained bundle with its own Python:
brew install remotivelabs/tap/remotivelabs-cli
macOS (installer package) — Apple Silicon only; no Homebrew required.
Download the signed, notarized remotivelabs-cli-<version>-arm64.pkg and
double-click it (installs to /opt/remotivelabs-cli with a
/usr/local/bin/remotive symlink) from
https://storage.googleapis.com/beamy-public-releases/remotivelabs-cli/<version>/.
Any platform (PyPI):
pip install remotivelabs-cli
Linux (apt / dnf) — the .deb/.rpm packages come from the RemotiveLabs
apt/yum repositories (the quick-install script above sets them up). They
recommend the RemotiveBus daemon (remotivebusd), so apt install /
dnf install remotivelabs-cli also installs it, and a CLI upgrade upgrades an
installed remotivebusd to at least the version the CLI was built for.
RemotiveBus needs the SocketCAN kernel modules, see
https://docs.remotivelabs.com/docs/remotive-bus/install. To install the CLI
without it (containers, CI, hosts without CAN):
sudo apt install --no-install-recommends remotivelabs-cli
sudo dnf install --setopt=install_weak_deps=False remotivelabs-cli
curl -fsSL https://storage.googleapis.com/beamy-public-releases/remotivelabs-cli/install.sh | bash -s -- --no-remotivebus
