RIFEX: A Simple CLI for Vulkan RIFE

A lightweight command-line interface (CLI) for video frame interpolation using the RIFE Vulkan-powered frame interpolation technology.

Installation

pip install rifex

Usage

Run the tool with minimal configuration:

rifex -i <input_video_path> -o <output_video_path> -f <interpolation_factor> -s

Example

Interpolate a video to 4x the original frames with a scale factor of 0.5:

rifex -i input.mp4 -o output.mp4 -f 4 -s 0.5

Supported Options

• -i, --input: Path to the input video file (required).
• -o, --output: Path to save the output video. Defaults to <Videos Directory>/<input_filename>_rifex.<extension>.
• -f, --factor: Interpolation factor (2x, 3x, or 4x). Defaults to 2.
• -s, --scale: Scale factor for RIFE (0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, or 4.0). Defaults to 0.5.
