FedRAMP OSCAL SSP Lint
Runs the same checker as our npm package on a Node.js runtime that pip installs for you (
nodejs-wheel-binaries) - no system Node.js needed. Your files are checked locally.
16 checks on a system-security-plan JSON, in your editor, before a validator returns the package
Install
fedramp-oscal-ssp-lint file
Node 18+. The same 16 rules as the VS Code extension, from a terminal or CI.
Free
- Checks one OSCAL system-security-plan JSON with all 16 rules and lists every defect with its JSON path, severity and the fix. On the bundled sample the clean plan returns 0 findings and the generated plan returns 19 findings across 14 of the 16 checks, including last-modified 503 days stale as of 2026-09-17 and control cp-9 planned with a completion date 79 days past.
--ruleslists every rule
With a licence ($29 once)
- Sweeps every OSCAL file in the workspace, resolves uuid references across the whole package instead of within one file, and writes a dated report to hand to a 3PAO. $29 once, one licence key per person or CI seat.
fedramp-oscal-ssp-lint --dir ./templates --report html --out report.html
Hand-review by a FedRAMP advisory consultant runs $150 to $300 an hour
